Aging Gracefully during the Pandemic
May you live in interesting times. Is it A BLESSING or A CURSe? Both PERHAPS, as we UNDOUBTEDLY ARE IN INTERESTING TIMES. Yet, aS WE TAKE A MOMENT TO REFLECT, WE CAN LEARN TO SEE HOW these dangerous and interesting times are also filled with opportunity.
“Entrust your works to the LORD,
and your plans will succeed.
The LORD has made everything for a purpose”
Saint Mary of Gostyn Aging Gracefully during the Pandemic
During shelter-in-place and social distancing many of us are feeling isolated and fearful. Join the conversations to address and reflect on topics relevant to these concerns we all feel. If anyone had asked you five years ago what you would be doing today, virtually nobody would have foreseen today. It is easy to be fearful and anxious during this virus- we still know so little, especially where it is going or where it will strike next.
Yet our faith brings hope, and the solid assurance that God can use all things for His good. It is from this faith perspective that we enter into discussions.
The format will include a brief topic reflection and prayer, followed by guided discussions and concluding with open questions. Topics include:
- Fear and Trust
Gather with other adults virtually to reflect on our faith; find meaning and hope during this challenging time.
Though I walk in the midst of dangers,
you guard my life when my enemies rage.
You stretch out your hand;
your right hand saves me.
