Position:      Full-time Director of Religious Education
Hours:         40 hours per week, benefitted, exempt position
Salary:         Commensurate with experience
Supervisor:  Parochial Vicar and Pastor

Saint Mary of Gostyn Parish and School of Downers Grove, Illinois, a community of 2,600 families is seeking a full-time Director of Religious Education to perform the following duties:

-Direct the Religious Education for grades K-8 of about 500 students.
Wednesdays         4:30pm-5:35pm & 6:30pm-7:35pm
Thursdays             4:30pm-5:35pm

-Sacramental Coordinator for Parish and School

Coordinates and oversees the preparation of School and Religious Education students for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.

-Oversee Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Meets on Sundays during the 8 am and 10 am Masses

-Summer Vacation Bible School

Applicants should have previous experience as a Director of Religious Education or its equivalency.  Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Theology, Ministry, or its equivalent are preferred.
