High School Youth Ministry
Hello & Welcome!
Here at St. Mary of Gostyn Parish, our High School Youth Ministry program seeks first of all to help each member become firmly rooted in Christ as his disciples – both in his Church, his sacraments, and his unending love for us. Because we are rooted in Christ, we take seriously the call to become like Jesus and to grow in virtue and holiness as we aim for heaven - for “the higher we go, the better we shall hear the voice of Christ.” (Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati).
SMG Youth Ministry is an opportunity to help youth realize the meaning and purpose of their lives, as well as giving them the chance to encounter Jesus Christ and develop a personal relationship with him as they seek to become joyful saints – for, “holiness is not the luxury of the few. It is a simple duty for you and for me.” (Mother Teresa of Calcutta)
SMG YM also strives to provide youth with an opportunity to have FUN, serve others, and develop life-long Christ-centered friendships that help youth to mature, and become the young people God created them to be! This is a place where high-schoolers can find a welcoming community to support them, and a place to dive deeper into a relationship with Christ, friendships with one another, and the riches and beauty the Church offers to us.
All high school students are welcome to join us!!

Every Sunday during the school-year we meet from 7:00-9:00pm in the Underground. We are a growing group, and always love new members. You just never know what to expect on Sunday Nights. You might come on a movie night or a bonfire night, be part of a scavenger hunt, play incredibly wacky games, hear one of our volunteers share their witness, or you might learn about the life of a really awesome saint or dig deeper into an aspect of our faith. Regardless, whatever night you come we will have food and prayer!
