Parents in Prayer
“Choose today whom you will serve...As for me and my
household, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:15
As our students head to college or back to school, join other parents (and grandparents are welcome too!) at St. Mary of Gostyn in prayer for their health, safety, well-being and success.

“So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he
may exalt you in due time.
Cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:6-7
There is SO much about parenting beyond our control, especially as our kids get older and start becoming more and more independent, and especially as they head off to college and are no longer living under our roof. Like it or not, we can’t protect our kids from every evil or every bad choice.
That’s why prayer is so vital.
In prayer, we ask the omnipotent, omnipresent God to intervene on behalf of our children. Sometimes the best thing we can do as parents is simply fight for them -- on our knees – fight with prayers.
Join other St Mary parents as we “humble ourselves” before our God and, “on our knees”, pray for our children. For we know, our God cares for us, and we can cast our worries on Him. Prayer is not just vital, it’s imperative, essential, and something we can do for our children.
“Do not fear [the enemy]! Keep in mind the LORD, who is
great and to be feared, and fight for your kindred, your sons
and daughters, your wives and your homes.”
Nehemiah 4:8
