Dear Prospective Parents and Students,
Greetings! I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Christopher Tiritilli, and I am proud to serve as the principal of St. Mary of Gostyn Catholic School. St. Mary of Gostyn School (SMG) is a special place with an extremely talented student population. I have observed how our students are both challenged and supported by passionate teachers and support staff each day. As we move forward together, SMG will be a school in which you, the students, will continue to grow in your academics and faith
I have many great experiences to draw on from my past years as Principal of Holy Family Catholic School, and my first year as Principal of St. Mary of Gostyn School. Throughout my time in education, I have been able to confirm my belief that successful schools require strong leadership. I hope to provide a high level of leadership for SMG by empowering teachers and students in order to achieve success.
Prior to my administrative career, I was the 6-7th grade Social Studies, Reading & Religion teacher at St. Joseph School in Downers Grove. I began my career in education at O’Neill Middle School in Downers Grove, where I was a special education instructional assistant, as well as long-term substitute teacher and coach. Each of my teaching experiences has taught me many lessons and helped prepare me to lead SMG forward.
I believe in transformative leadership, which invites input from all stakeholder groups. Building strong relationships within our school and surrounding community is critical. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and sharing ideas as we work together to support our students.
I strongly believe in a safe school environment, positive school culture and clear communication. If you should have a concern or question regarding a policy, procedure, or situation, please contact your child’s teacher or me at the school office.
Thank you for your interest in our great school, and for taking the time to walk through our web page. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Sincerely,
Mr. Christopher Tiritilli | Principal -St. Mary of Gostyn School
