Dear Prospective Parents and Students,<\/p>\n

Greetings! I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Christine Kalal and I am proud to serve as the principal of St. Mary of Gostyn Catholic School. St. Mary of Gostyn School (SMG) is a special place with an extremely talented student population. I have observed how our students are both challenged and supported by passionate teachers and support staff each day. As we move forward together, SMG will be a school in which you, the students, will continue to grow in your academics and faith.<\/p>\n

I have many great experiences to draw on from my past 26 years of being on staff at St. Mary\u2019s as a teacher, Assistant Principal, and my first year as Principal of St. Mary of Gostyn School. Throughout my time in education, I have been able to confirm my belief that successful schools require strong leadership. I hope to provide a high level of leadership for SMG by empowering teachers and students in order to achieve success.<\/p>\n

Prior to my administrative career, I was a Middle School Math teacher, a 7th grade homeroom teacher, and an 8th grade homeroom teacher here at St. Mary\u2019s. I am also a proud alumnae of SMG and all four of my children. During my role as \u201cjust\u201d a parent, I served on numerous committees, and each of my experiences has taught me many lessons and helped prepare me to lead SMG forward.<\/p>\n

I believe the necessity of\u00a0 strong relationships within our school and surrounding community is critical. I am looking forward to getting to know our new families and sharing ideas as we work together to support our students.<\/p>\n

I strongly believe in a safe school environment, positive school culture and clear communication. If you should have a concern or question regarding a policy, procedure, or situation, please contact your child\u2019s teacher or me at the school office.<\/p>\n

Christine Kalal, Principal<\/em><\/h2><\/span>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ms. Kalal has been at St. Mary of Gostyn School for more than 25 years. She began her career at SMG as a Middle School Math Teacher before moving on to Assistant Principal and Principal. Ms. Kalal earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Concordia College (now Concordia University) and obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Ms. Kalal is an alumnus from SMG, as are her four children, and feel especially vested in St. Mary\u2019s as a student, parent, teacher, and administrator.<\/p>\n

Ms. Kalal loves being a part of a community that values communication between the school and parents. Seeing the students gain knowledge, confidence, and a love of God is so rewarding to her. She looks forward to seeing the students\u2019 smiling faces every day.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
