Be Formed is an occasion for each person to have a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ through prayer, Scripture, Sacraments, community and the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church. What is Be Formed?
Be Formed is a 90-day discipleship program of faith, formation and friendship. It offers you a community to help you grow in your faith. The goal of Be Formed is to unpack the Teachings and Traditions of the Catholic Church to draw you closer to Jesus Christ.
Whether you are new to the faith or have been practicing your entire life, Be Formed is for you. Throughout the 90-days you will:
- Learn from priests, bishops and other religious leaders about our faith and teachings
- Have a life-changing encounter as you deepen your faith and grow closer to Christ
- Gain a community that encourages and inspires you in your relationship with God

Be Part of Be Formed
Join Be Formed, in groups here at St. Mary’s or in one of the many virtual day/time options available through the Diocese of Joliet. Each season includes weekly video reflections and small group discussions, as well as opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration and fellowship with other Be Formed participants from around the diocese.
In conjunction with the Diocese of Joliet, Be Formed is a 90-day discipleship experience for men and women which includes weekly videos learnings, small group discussion, prayer, friendship and community. Through Be Formed, individuals are given the opportunity to prayerfully discern the spiritual, pastoral, human and intellectual commitments the Lord is calling them to focus on.
I’ve Never Done Be Formed Before, Can I Still Join?
Yes! Be Formed is open to all: whether you’re new to it, or have participated in many other seasons before. Join over 1,500 people for a life-changing encounter with Christ.
This next season will include weekly videos on The Blessed Virgin Mary using the Papal Encyclical’s of Pope John Paul II, Redemptoris Mater and Rosarium Virginis Mariae. Weekly videos are emailed right to your inbox. It’s recommended to join a weekly small group meeting for women, men, couples or a mixed group of men and women either in person or via zoom. There are several in-person gatherings here at St. Mary’s and a huge variety of day/time options over zoom.
When Does Be Formed Begin?
Season 10 runs from February 10 through May 10, 2025. Registration is now open and runs to January 12, 2025. Late registration will continue until February 2, 2025.
