The Passion of Christ is an experience like none other. Live Theater Production, a nonprofit organization, brings theater to the community with full theatrical lights and breathtaking performances by an incredible group of volunteers, actors and musicians. The Passion of Christ is set to music by Emmy award-winning composer Andrzej Warzocha, and has been performed all over Chicagoland for over 25 years.

The powerful impact of seeing Christ’s Passion enacted on stage moves audiences to crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. The Passion of Christ is an immersive theatrical experience to be enjoyed by all as a spiritual preparation for the Resurrection of our Lord on Easter Sunday.

The Passion of Christ enacts specific stories and scenes from the Bible to highlight the power and enormity of Christ’s Passion. It features Christ teaching, the Last Supper, praying in the Garden, the scourging, crucifixion and much more.

All the scenes come together for a realistic presentation and powerful prayer.

What are Audiences Saying about The Passion of Christ?

I felt it as soon as they walked in and started shouting ‘Jesus is coming!’ I mean it just got you right there. As soon as it started and Mother Mary came down the aisle and she said ‘My son is here’ I felt Jesus really present.”

“When you see Peter and Judas betray Jesus, you think about all the things we do because we are sinners. It just makes you look more into your own life.”

“It’s a good way to experience Lent on a deeper level.”
